Founded in 2015 by life and business partners Kim Rookstool and Keith Johnsen, Elevens Imports was created to be the import and logistics arm for Kim's new cork specialties company, Cork Karma.  Keith's ongoing work with his other import company, Daqopa Brands LLC, and his 35 years of experience in wine marketing and supply allowed for the import of the beautiful cork goods on incoming Portuguese wine containers, saving both carbon footprint and shipping costs.

 

The couple decided to add some eclectic wine brands to the Elevens portfolio near the end of 2015, and in four short and very busy years built that business from $50,000 USD annually to just over $2 million in sales. In 2021 they moved almost 149,000 cases (over 1.7 million 750 ml bottles) from 8 countries, in over 100 full containers. No small accomplishment for a two-person enterprise!

 

Cork Karma's products are sold both directly to consumers online as well as at select upscale artisan shows in the Seattle area, and by special production for B2B wholesale orders for wine clubs, tasting rooms, and any other interested retailers. The wines of Elevens Imports are sold in the Pacific Northwest U.S. through a network of talented wine distributors, and notably in the DtC (Direct-to-Consumer) channel nationally by established professional online wine merchants.
